Graduate Diploma in Guided Imagery and Music

The Graduate Diploma in Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) is offered by the University of Melbourne. It comprises four intensive long weekend residential seminars over two years (8 seminars in total), as well as personal GIM therapy and supervised GIM sessions with clients.

The Graduate Diploma in GIM comprises training in music psychotherapy, using the Bonny Method of GIM with individual clients (also adapted for groups) in private practice or other settings. The content includes a study of theoretical frameworks applicable to GIM, including Jungian, Gestalt, and Integral theories. Bonny music programs of 30-45 minutes in duration are studied and client sessions are periodically supervised.
Fees for this course can be covered by FEE-HELP.
